The time between seasons can be restless. It is also a time of reflection and mental preparation for a change of routine. As the snow recedes and the landscape is redefined I look forward to the summer season and new possibilities. "April Showers" is part of my 'Meditation Forest' series of paintings inspired by my relationship with the boreal forest environment in Fairbanks, Alaska where I spent many years living, working and playing in the snow. ~ Sue Dranchak
