Cactus flowers represent warmth and protection and are symbolic of maternal love as well as the ability to survive and prosper in a harsh and unforgiving environment.
"Moonflower", is a common name often used for the night blooming cereus cactus. The massive white blooms occur at night and start to wilt in the early morning hours.
Each painting in my 'Moon flower' series varies in composition, palette and size. There are no two alike.
